The strong winds begin to subside as the fleet compresses on the southern limit of a high pressure system near Itajai,guaranteeing a close finish in 400 miles for places 1 through 4,all within sight of each other.
November 6,2014. Leg 1 onboard Team Alvimedica. Day 26. With 0.00 knots on the speedo and 250 miles left on the track,Alvimedica drifts towards a low-pressure system that will send them the last bit to Cape Town,less than a day away.

The B&G instrument pod shows the vital information to the crew in the cockpit,and it's high contrast easy-to-read numbers are visible,even when wet. Conditions remain largely the same for the third consecutive day of upwind sailing east and away from a chasing cold front.
