Volvo Ocean Race CEO Knut Frostad,during the traditional maori welcoming ceremony - Taki or Wero: \"A challenger will approach the group (from ngati whatua tribe) The rākau whakaara (warning baton) is laid down by the first challenger. Knut will be ushered to pick up the baton,then return to his position without turning his back on the challenger. He will keep the baton for the duration of the ceremony in his hand.\"
