Auckland Stopover. Tom Braidwood. Team Sun Hung Kai/Scallywag. 17 March, 2018 Tom is a Volvo Ocean Race and America's Cup veteran whose first contact with the race came as shore crew on Silk Cut in 1997-98. He's raced three editions – the first being onboard SEB in 2001-02, then Ericsson in 2005-06 and finally Green Dragon in 2008-09. He returns to the race a decade later to join up with David Witt's Scallywag team having completed a Mini Transat and in 2018 was crowned the Adams 10 Australian champ at Middle Harbour Yacht Club in his native Oz! |
