Caption: Turn the Tide on Plastic. Martin Stromberg.
Who he is: One of Sweden’s best sailors, Strömberg is known for his cool and calm persona onboard. He made his debut on Swedish boat Ericsson 3 in 2008-09, and then followed up with a win on Groupama in 2011-12. He then rejoined teammate Charles Caudrelier for his Dongfeng project in the last race, grabbing another podium place.
Fast becoming a Swedish sailing legend in his own right, Martin is now back to share his expertise with the youth squad of Turn the Tide on Plastic. For Martin, Turn the Tide on Plastic is a project that needs to happen for the well-being of the planet and to bring opportunities to young people so that they can achieve their lifetime goal and become better sailors.

    • Turn the Tide on Plastic. Frederico Pinheiro. Who he is: Having made his name racing on the Finn and Star Olympic circuits, Frederico steps into offshore sailing for the first time. He has previously competed in the Extreme Sailing Series onboard Sail Portugal/Visit Madeira – and has also completed a Sydney-Hobart Race with Sydney 38.
