Vestas 11th Hour Racing. Nick Dana Who he is: This is Nick's fourth Volvo Ocean Race experience, although he has only raced in two of them. His first, in 2008-09, saw him work on shore for PUMA Ocean Racing, and in 2011-12 he went offshore as an Onboard Reporter on Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing. His first experience as a crew member came in 2014-15 on Team Alvimedica, and he returns for a second consecutive sailing campaign with Vestas 11th Hour Racing. Dana grew up tinkering with boats at his family's shipyard in Rhode Island and has been racing professionally for nearly all of his adult life, winning prizes on all types of boat.
