    • Carolijn Brouwer. Dongfeng Race Team. An accomplished sailor who has competed in three Olympic Games, two Volvo Ocean Races and was named ISAF Sailor of the Year, Carolijn Brouwer returns for a third crack at the Volvo Ocean Race. Her stunning speed driving the boat in 2014-15, particularly in In-Port Races and Leg Starts, caught the eye of Charles Caudrelier and she is now eager for a real shot at the title. • Sun Hung Kay Scallywag. John Fisher. A long-term member of the Ragamuffin and Scallywag super maxi crews, Fisher had plenty of big boat experience and had sailed with skipper David Witt for many years. A Sydney-Hobart veteran, he made the step into the Volvo Ocean Race world for the first time in 2017-18.

    • Mark Towill. Vestas 11th Hour Racing. Towill combines his role as de facto co-skipper on the boat with looking after the business side of the on-shore operation. That doesn’t leave a lot of room for down-time, but if he does ever get a free day you’ll likely find this Hawaiian native kite surfing or paddle boarding. Rhode Island native Charlie Enright returns to the Volvo Ocean Race for a second consecutive edition following a debut campaign as skipper of Team Alvimedica in 2014-15. He made his name starring in the Disney movie 'Morning Light' alongside long-term sailing partner Mark Towill, and now the pair lead Vestas 11th Hour Racing in a joint mission to win the Volvo Ocean Race and promote sustainability. • Turn the Tide on Plastic. Martin Stromberg. Who he is: One of Sweden’s best sailors, Strömberg is known for his cool and calm persona onboard. He made his debut on Swedish boat Ericsson 3 in 2008-09, and then followed up with a win on Groupama in 2011-12. He then rejoined teammate Charles Caudrelier for his Dongfeng project in the last race, grabbing another podium place. Fast becoming a Swedish sailing legend in his own right, Martin is now back to share his expertise with the youth squad of Turn the Tide on Plastic. For Martin, Turn the Tide on Plastic is a project that needs to happen for the well-being of the planet and to bring opportunities to young people so that they can achieve their lifetime goal and become better sailors.
