    • For EDITORIAL USE only,please credit: Oskar Kihlborg/Ericsson Racing Team....Ericsson 3 and Ericsson 4 leave Sweden and set sail on their mandatory 2,000 mile qualifier for the Volvo Ocean Race 2008-09. The race crews will not return to Sweden until they return for the Marstrand stopover in mid-June 2009. The 3,000 mile trip back to the team's training base in Lanzarote,Canary Islands,is being used by the two-boat Ericsson Racing Team,as their shakedown for the round-the-world race,and is the first time that Ericsson 4 is sailing a long passage since its launch in late June.....The Volvo Ocean Race 2008-09 will be the 10th running of this ocean marathon. Starting from Alicante in Spain,on 4 October 2008,it will,for the first time,take in Cochin,India,Singapore and Qingdao,China before finishing in St Petersburg,Russia for the first time in the history of the race.
