Starting from Alicante in Spain,on 4 October 2008,it will,for the first time,take in Cochin,India,Singapore and Qingdao,China before finishing in St Petersburg,Russia for the first time in the history of the race. With little wind to speak of, it the Race Committee officially abandoned racing for the day 1610 local time (0810 GMT)..Although the weather forecast is for little improvement, the third in-port race in the Volvo Ocean Race has been rescheduled for tomorrow, replacing the scheduled Pro-Am race day.
